After achieving positive results in trimming greenbelts on the pedestrian bridges and trestles, Guangzhou decided to expand its greenbelt endeavors on cross bridges.

The 14 cross bridges are currently inviting public biddings for their greenbelt-trimming projects. The total greenbelt will reach 33 kilometers in length. It is expected that the projects will begin by the end of this year.

In addition to 7 new cross bridges that finished the greenbelt-trimmings, 38 pedestrian bridges and 5 trestles in Guangzhou have completed the greenbelt renovation projects.

Guangzhou now has the highest coverage of greenbelts in pedestrian bridges and trestles throughout the country.
