China Central Television releases the final 20 nominated cities for the Top 10 Cities with Exuberant Economy on Oct 10th. Guangdong has 3 cities, including Shenzhen, Zhongshan and Dongguan, listed, and ranks second after Jiangsu in all province and regions.
These 20 are selected from 280 cities from all parts of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other mainland municipalities directly under the Central Government). Regional economic integration shows its power as the three main economic blocs take 18 out of the 20 posts. Yangzi River Delta takes 7, Pearl River Delta 6 while Bohai Ring 5.
The 100-judge panel involves experts of economics, environment, social science and other aspects. The final result of Top Ten and other city awards will be released on November 6th.
