Guangdong ranked No.1 for the 3rd time on the list of 2004 China Famous Brand Products announced this morning (Sept. 2). Among the 271 elected famous brands, 64 are from Guangdong.
According to Jiang Jianye, director of the Guangdong development research center, Guangdong allocates dozens of millions of yuan each year to award the winners. Each brand-name product company will be awarded 1 million yuan. When including other prizes from the city and district, each company may get up to 2 to 3 million yuan in prize money.
