Guangdong Opera aims at world heritage

Guangzhou plans to enter Guangdong Opera into the list of UNESCO World Heritage, according to information from the executive office.

The application was submitted to the Ministry of Culture in mid-June. The result will be announced in August.

If Guangzhou gets qualification from the Ministry of Culture, it will formally start to submit its application to UNESCO in September.
