A Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) radio cooperation meeting was held in Guangzhou on July 3. The meeting was initiated by Radio Guangdong and received a positive response from other counterparts in the Pan-Pearl River Delta.
At the meeting, all the stations agreed to take advantage of regional cooperation to build a closer and deeper programme cooperation relationship. They agreed to have a special joint live report on the opening day of the first Pan-Pearl River Delta economic and trade meeting next Wednesday (Jul 14) and also jointly broadcast a weekly programme featuring the region's economic developments on a long-term basis.
Peter Shiu Lo Sin, Assistant Director of Broadcasting of Radio Television Hong Kong told us after the meeting, 'If we ally with the other 10 radio stations, we will amplify our efforts and enhance our news service reach to people inside the region and even beyond the region. It is a very good effort.'
Representatives from 11 radio stations of 9 mainland provinces and the 2 special administrative regions within the economic circle attended the meeting.
