Construction of Sino-German Resources Regeneration Base, which is settled in the Sino-German Metal Ecological City in Jieyang City of Guangdong, began on May 31. The visiting Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit and the German business delegation attended the construction initiation ceremony.

With a total investment of 3 billion Yuan, the Sino-German Resources Regeneration Base is co-constructed by ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd., Guangdong Rising Assets Management Co., Ltd. and ALBA Group.

During the visit to Germany, Chinese President Xi Jinping and German Chancellor Angela Merkel witnessed the signing of Sino-German Resources Regeneration Base on March 28, and it’s the only one project involving energy conservation and environmental protection, which will produce energy from urban solid waste in an environmentally friendly way, the first of its kind in China.

Mayor Klaus Wowereit said he is excited to witness the cooperation achievements since Guangdong Party Chief Hu Chunhua visited Berlin last July. The project will be a demonstration base of environmental protection and resources regeneration cooperated between China and Germany, and he expected more Berlin enterprises to take part in the construction of Sino-German Metal Ecological City.

It is known that after the completion, Sino-German Resources Regeneration Base will be the first qualified recycling center in metal and electronic products, which is capable of the treatment of discarded automobiles, waste electronics, scrap nonferrous metal, waste paper, hazardous waste, and the third-generation household waste treatment technology.
