Zhuhai to have air sightseeing

FLIGHT sightseeing from Jiuzhou Helipad to the Qi'ao Mangrove Nature Reserve via Haibin Beach, Lovers Avenue, the Fisher Maiden statue, Yeli Island, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Tangjiawan Town and then returning in 20 minutes will be available beginning May 1, according to the marketing manager of a general aviation company. Four regular flights daily at weekends and holidays have been set.The air route is a strategic partnership between the company and China Southern Airlines Zhuhai Helicopter, which has a fleet of 20 helicopters and well-experienced pilots. The 12-seat Sikorsky is the highest standard among medium-sized whirlybirds. The charge for a flight is 1,880 yuan ($300) per head and the initial discounted price is 1,680 yuan ($269).Two other air routes from Jiuzhou Helipad to Hengqin Bay Hotel via New Yuanming Palace, the University of Macau Hengqin Campus and Shizimen Central Business District will be added in October, the manager noted.Air sightseeing provided by China Southern Airlines Zhuhai Helicopter first appeared in Zhuhai in 2001 but was suspended. Such sightseeing can be taken now in Beijing, Qingdao, Sanya, Dalian, Xiamen and other cities.
