Livestock sample under strict H7N9 check in Guangdong

The Agricultural Department of Changping county, where a boy was confirmed being infected by H7N9 virus, had launched emergency H7N9 check of livestock samples. So far no H7N9 virus was found in the 175 samples checked, according to Guangdong Agriculture Department.

Besides, Zhong Hanshan, experts on infective diseases, said it showed no sign that it is easier for children to be infected by H7N9 virus.

Zhong added that it is the ideal weather and temperature for H7N9 virus spread from December this year to May or June next year. However, Guangdong has the capacity to prevent and control the H7N9 infection.
