The Guangzhou Mobile Internet (Yuexiu) Industrial Park, the first government-sponsored one of its kind in China, was launched recently at the China International Central Park in the Huanghuagang Science and Technology Park, a national-class high-tech zone. Yuexiu will set out to build a new strategic industrial park with a gross floor area of more than 500,000 square meters.

According to the development plan, Yuexiu District will build the Guangzhou Mobile Internet (Yuexiu) Industrial Park on the basis of the existing Huanghuagang Science and Technology Park to host a cluster of high-quality internet resources. In the second stage, the park will be expanded to cover Hongdu and Dongzhao Buildings, and over a period of two or three years, supporting infrastructure will be built, and investment in the mobile Internet industry will be promoted. In the final stage, Yangji Village, Donghao Creek and Huaguo Hill urban renewal projects will be designated as the stimulatory zones, and over a period of three to five years, through urban renewal and infrastructure upgrading, the park will be built into the Guangzhou Mobile Internet Industrial Base with a significant scale; it will eventually be developed into a national-class demonstrative base for the mobile Internet industry.
