Guangdong will lift limitations on fees charged by accountancy firms from next year.
This will remove government influence leaving market forces to regulate prices, the Guangdong Provincial Price Bureau and Guangdong Provincial Finance Department said.
The fees will be up to negotiation by accountants and clients and can be rated either by time or actual work done, the Guangzhou Daily report said.
If firms service clients in other provinces, they will be able to charge according to the new regulation or follow other provinces' rules.
Firms will be able to charge in advance but not more than half the total expenses.
