On September 11, a special event in celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival was held at the Reading Bar in Guangzhou's White Swan Hotel for free, featuring online reading activity and a parent-child DIY crafting experience.

It prepared a series of DIY activities on the day such as designing lanterns and remote controllled cars powered by solar energy. Visitors could take their completed handicraft works home for free.
Officially put into operation on November 10, 2020, the Reading Bar offers a total of 2,000 books such as popular books and children's books for visitors, equipped with a large number of e-books.

Importantly, all the books that the bar provides are accessible to you at no charge in your leisure time without having to register a reader's card.
With a number of best-selling books, you only need to scan the QR code with your cellphone to read the full text of your favorite e-books for free, or listen to the audio books. You can also download multiple books to your cellphone.
The bar also provides large-screen computers, allowing you to enjoy the audio books by wearing the earphones and choosing the columns you like.
