In celebration of Teachers' Day, light shows were presented on Canton Tower and some electronic screens in Huacheng Square, Liuhua Road, and Beijing Road commercial pedestrian street in Guangzhou.

On September 9, the day before Teacher’s Day, 1367 teachers were awarded as "Outstanding Teachers of Guangdong", and 150 educators were awarded as "Outstanding Educators of Guangdong" to honor exemplary teachers in Guangdong.
