Guangdong’s Guangzhou, Heyuan, Meizhou, Jiangmen, and Huizhou reported close contacts of COVID-19 cases on August 1, all having been to Hunan. All residents related to those people are required to accept nucleic acid tests in local medical institutions, local CDCs said.

Other residents should ensure personal protection all the time in face of the bouncing-back virus. Residents above 12 should get full vaccination as soon as possible. If there are any uncommon symptoms such as fever, cough, and diarrhoea, go to nearby hospital immediately and avoid taking public transport.

Guangzhou:

Guangzhou's Zengcheng District reported a close contact on August 1. The individual has taken public transportation on July 30. Below is his track.

July 30:

Longchuan County, Heyuan:

According to local CDC, 10 inbound passengers had the same itinerary with an asymptomatic case in the Sheraton Hotel in Wuling District, Changde, Hunan, and have been identified as close contacts. The 10 arrived in Longchuan at 13:00 of July 29. As of July 31, the results of their two nucleic acid tests were all negative.

Local CDC reported one close contact who had the same itinerary with 1 asymptomatic case from Changde, Hunan and 3 diagnosed cases from Chengdu, Sichuan in the Sheraton Hotel in Wuling District. The individual returned to Heyuan at around 14:00 on July 29, with the results of 3 daily nucleic acid tests all negative as of August 1.

Jiangmen

A close contact (Lin, male, 41) of the 2 diagnosed cases in Beijing was reported in Xinhui District, Jiangmen. The person has had close contact with 18 people and general contact with 221 people in Dongguan. All of those people have negative nucleic acid test results. Below is Lin’s track.
