2020 wasn't an easy year for us. It was as if the world was suddenly called to a halt and then slowly began to restart. Freddy and Nic's school lives are two examples.

They are international students from MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) Department, Southern Medical University. Freddy and Nic came from Burundi and India respectively in 2014 and have been studying since then in the university.

When the COVID-19 outbreak started in China in early 2020, their internships had to stopped. Having witnessed how bravely the medical staff of Nanfang hospital fought at the frontline, they created the song Be Strong to cheer for China.

During hard times, Freddy would talk with his friends and give them encouragement. He says, stay safe and don't lose hope. Throughout 2020, Nic has learned how to be a better person, and care for others' well-being.
