On December 11th, reporters from Macau visited Kaiping Diaolou and Villages, which is one of the world cultural heritage. They visited Ruishi Tower, known as the "First Floor of Kaiping", and learned about the story of its owner and his wife. They expressed their appreciation for the combination of Chinese and Western furniture and interior design inside the Diaolou.
Carlos Morais Jose, publisher of Hoje Macao, said that he was pleasantly surprised by the western decorations inside Diaolou and believed that this combination of Chinese and Western decorations embodies the integration of the world. He believes that cultural exchanges and mutual learning are very important. However, the Western world are lacking such values nowadays. He suggested that they can learn more from China.
