Molave, the 18th typhoon of the year, has been upgraded to to strong typhoon level at 5 a.m of October 27th. It will continue to move northwestward and expected to land in the central coastal areas of Vietnam and the south of the Zhongsha Island and Paracel Islands. The wind scale is up to level 12 to 14 at a speed of 35 to 42 meters per second.
After Typhoon Molave, there are two more typhoons in the formation which may be named ‘Goni’ and ‘Atsani’ according to the naming system. However, the upcoming Typhoon Goni is more likely to move westward and bring torrential downpours and strong winds to Hainan Island and the South China Sea
Three-day forecast for Guangdong
From October 27th to 30th, most regions in Guangdong Province will stay cloudy and dry with large temperature difference between day and night. Gales will continue to blow in most Guangdong coastal cities and South China Sea.
On October 28th, it will be clearing early and cloudy later. The coastal areas in the west will have some drizzle. The lowest temperature in the north is 16℃-19℃, while the temperature in most southern cities and counties is 21℃-24℃. And the temperature of the rest of the province is 19℃-21℃.
On October 29th, it will be cloudy and stay overcast for the rest of the day. The west and coastal cities in the Pearl River Delta will experience some drizzle. The lowest temperature in the north is 15℃-18℃, 20℃-23℃ in the south and 18℃-20℃ in the rest of the province.
On October 30th, it will be cloudy with sunny spells. The lowest temperature in Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing and Yunfu will be 14℃-17℃, 20℃-23℃ in the south and 18℃-20℃ in the rest of the province.
