The 2020 Canton Fair Fashion Week and Fashion in Vogue Live Show was held at the Westin Pazhou in Guangzhou during the 128th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) on October 19th, featuring hundreds of new products presented by ten garment and bag brands.

The event was attended by guests from both China and abroad, domestic purchasers, brand owners, web celebrities, online audiences and more.

Wen Zhongliang, deputy secretary general of Canton Fair, said in his speech that fashion week, taking advantage of the online Canton Fair, strives to innovate online performance methods, through online and offline integration to help companies better connect with the market, so that both suppliers and buyers can explore more business opportunities.

Wu Weihua, deputy head of Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, pointed out in his address that the fashion industry is an important part of Guangzhou's economy and presents unique development advantages. "Guangzhou also has a complete series of fashion industry chains ranging from design, manufacture and brand promotion of apparel, luggage, shoes and hats, to accessories, jewelry and cosmetics", Wu said.

In between the catwalk shows, three guests delivered speeches on how to develop the thinking in vogue, how to make best-selling connections by live e-commerce, and how design drives industries.

Founded in 2015 during the 118th Canton Fair, the fashion week has held nearly 200 theme shows for nearly 300 fashion brands and 200 fashion designers, creating an efficient platform for enterprises to show their products and design strength as well as facilitate the connection between suppliers and buyers.

It is hosted by both China Foreign Trade Centre and Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, organized by both Canton Fair Product Design & Trade Promotion Centre and Guangzhou Solid Channel Co., Ltd., with support from Guangdong Chamber of Commerce of Importers and Exporters.
