Based on the Chinese version, the English version added notes and other content to adapt to foreign readers' reading habits. The English books are helpful for foreign readers to have a deeper understanding of Foshan’s local customs and practices, such as the origin of Foshan dragon boat customs and the great kung fu masters including Yip Man and Bruce Lee.
According to the person in charge of the editorial office of the books, attending the book fair is a great cultural exchange activity to showcase the city of Foshan and its unique culture to the world.
Founded in 1949, the Frankfurter Buchmesse is a world-leading venue for printed and digital content and is known as the "World Cultural Weathervane". Due to the pandemic, the exhibition is being held online and people worldwide can simply enjoy the fair at home, digitally and free of charge. With more than 4,300 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and regions, the digital fair will last until 2021.
