At the press conference, Jiang Kaixin, deputy secretary of Guangdong Provincial Political and Law Commission, introduced provincial guidelines on administrative law enforcement during the novel coronavirus outbreak.

People who hide their history of traveling or living in regions with major novel coronavirus outbreaks will be held responsible, even on criminal charges, according to the guidelines.

The guidelines also includes response to people not wearing masks in public venues, disruption of order in public venues and public vehicles, rumor fabrication and transmission and production or selling of fake goods.

A notice on exit-entry in Guangdong during the epidemic (http://gdga.gd.gov.cn/bsfw/bmts/content/post_2884543.html, in Chinese) was issued recently, warning that the province has suspended services for mainland residents applying tourist endorsements for individual or group tours to Hong Kong and Macao.

Encouraging residents to access legal services online

Jiang also said that the province encourages residents to access legal services online, and obtain documents by SMS, email, instant messaging, fax and other ways. Also online legal consultation has been launched in the mini program of Yueshengshi (粤省事).

The province also emphasized on law popularity online, calling for the public to get digital materials online.

Multiple measures, including credit easing, have been carried out in Guangdong to support companies hit by the coronavirus, especially wholesale, accommodation and catering service, logistics, culture and transportation, according to Hu Ying, vice president of the provincial court.

Property owners in the province were encouraged to reduce rents so as to help ease the burden on companies and personnel in the fight against the novel coronavirus, added Hu.
