On the evening of November 19th, the Consulate General of Belgium in Guangzhou hosted the opening dinner of the culinary week at the Slow Life Kitchen Elite. The dinner was attended by the Governor of the Province of Limburg Mr. Herman Reynders, together with his delegation, and the Consuls General of various other countries.

In order to provide you with typical, authentic Belgian cuisine, the organizers have worked hard to source the ingredients from Belgium and prepare them in a traditional way. During the week, you will be able to taste many classic dishes such as Belgian Mussels and Asparagus soup.

Furthermore, you also won’t want to miss out on Belgium’s hallmark beers and chocolates. For dessert, we recommend a pairing of Belgium chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream. There are various classic Belgian beers you can choose to pair with your main dishes, including Duvel, Vedett and Liefmans.

Furthermore, a happy Thursday activity titled ‘Sparkling Belgium’ will be held by the Consulate General in partnership with Happy Monk Kingold on the evening of November 28th. All are welcome to enjoy free beers and snacks from Belgium. In addition, you will stand a chance to win some big prizes, such as a return flight to Belgium.
