Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here on Friday that China targets or threatens no other country and breaches no international treaties in its recent anti-satellite test in outer space.

China advocates the peaceful use of outer space and opposes arms race in outer space, Wen said at a press conference held following the conclusion of the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislature.

Wen reaffirmed that China's position on the peaceful use of outer space remains unchanged, calling on certain countries to sign international conventions on the peaceful utilization of outer space as soon as possible.
