Chinese relief teams have finished their two-week mission in Sri Lanka, helping locals hit by the fatal tide wave in late December.

The medical team treated a total of 2,060 locals.

Another team were engaged in preventing epidemics through disinfection, monitoring water quality and investigating for potential infectious diseases.

The relief teams will return to China on Sunday night local time.
