The Tenth National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, decided here Wednesday that it will convene its third annual full session on March 5, 2005, in Beijing.

The 13th meeting of the NPC Standing Committee, which concluded here Wednesday afternoon, passed a resolution regarding the schedule of next year's NPC annual session.

The NPC Standing Committee proposed that the draft anti-secession law, which was examined during this meeting, be submitted to the 3rd annual session of the NPC for deliberation.

The annual session should also discuss and decide on a request of Jiang Zemin to resign from chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China, and elect a new chairman.

Other agenda includes deliberating a report on central government work, examining and approving the Report on the Implementation of the Central and Local Budgets for 2004 and on the Draft Central and Local Budgets for 2005, deciding on the members of the CMC and the NPC Standing Committee, and deliberating reports on the work of the NPC Standing Committee, Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate.
