Nansha will set out this year to build a 33-square-kilometer high-end commerce and trade service zone. By 2015, the basic framework for the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Cooperation Demonstration Service Zone will be formed in Nansha. The second meeting of the Guangzhou and Hong Kong cooperation task force was held in Hong Kong on the afternoon of January 28.

The meeting was focused on the development of the Nansha New Zone. Both parties exchanged in-depth views on ways of building Nansha into a demonstration zone for all-around cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong and Macao. Participants also reached a consensus on the "five cooperation items" identified at the first meeting, on subsequent favorable policy for Nansha, and on the promotion of full cooperation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
