Knowledge City project explored

Zhu Xiaodan, Secretary of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Government, met on March 17 with Yeo Liat Kok, Philip,, Director of SingBridge International Singapore Pte Ltd and Chairman of Spring Singapore, and his associates. Both sides exchanged views on the ways to speed up the Knowledge City project.

Mr. Zhu stated that both the Chinese and Singaporean authorities have pledged to support the Knowledge City project. Guangzhou and its Singaporean partner will consult with each other and sign a framework agreement and an implementation agreement in coming months. Both sides will strive to commence the project by the end of the first half of the year.

Yeo Liat Kok, Philip, expressed their appreciation for the strong support of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Guangzhou Municipal Government for the Knowledge City project. They also thanked the Chinese team for their efforts to facilitate the progress of the project. They stated that with the concerted efforts of both sides, substantial progress has been made in the preliminary work of the Knowledge City project, and that the SingBridge is looking forward to the commencement of the project as soon as possible. They also said that their fact-finding visit to Guangzhou has allowed them to deepen their understanding of the project and that they will continue to take concrete steps to promote the progress of the project and ensure that it will produce results as soon as possible.
