The American Chamber of Commerce South China (AmCham South China) unveiled an free smart phone application “Multinational Corporation (MNC) Career Express” this morning (April 26), to help young Chinese job seekers better understand working in multinational corporations and conducting job interviews in Guangzhou, China.

"MNC Career Express" is the first AmCham-sponsored app in the world and demonstrates multinational corporations’ commitment to cultivating the talent in the South China market. Developed in conjunction with the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, the app features original videos from prominent multinational companies, like Google, Dell, and Harley Davidson, detailing what they are looking for in Chinese applicants. At present, the app is available for download on Android based phones at no cost through the associated app stores, and available for download on iPhones since May 10.

AmCham President Harley Seyedin addressed the launch that “members of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China hired more than 500,000 new employees in 2011 to staff the expansion of their business activities. This was supported by more than USD 10 billion in additional investment in the same year. This new and innovative Career Express APP will now make it a great deal easier for potential employees to join our member companies.”
