Guangdong and Energy Foundation cooperation to promote low-carbon development

The Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong Province and the Energy Foundation, based in U.S.A, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding for further cooperation to promote Guangdong’s low low-carbon development.

The two sides agreed to promote the key areas of cooperation include low-carbon development plan; smart power grid; green building; upgrade industry efficiency; air quality; as well as the exchange of knowledge and sharing of experiences on green transportation.

Eric Heitz, President of The Energy Foundation said the MoU is expected to help Guangdong keep the leading position in the new development situation of China's economy, and be a vanguard in China’s low-carbon development.
