Elkeson de Oliveira Cardoso will return to the team soon after a medical check-up, said Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Guangzhou Evergrande here on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old Brazilian forward, who joined Evergrande at the end of 2012, had played 111 matches during the 2013-15 seasons, scoring 77 goals.
As the top scorer and best CSL player, he also helped the team to two AFC Champions League and three CSL trophies before he transferred to Shanghai SIPG in 2016 and scored 54 goals in 117 matches.
"Elkeson's return will surly beef up the team. We believe that he could make a great contribution and give wonderful performances," said Evergrande.
