On April 11th, torrential rain swept across most parts of the province due to the cold air, and hail even hit some areas like Zengcheng District in Guangzhou. In the next three days, heavy rain will hit the province with the drop of temperature, according to the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.
Affected by the cold air, temperatures in the cities of northern, eastern Guangdong, and the Pearl River Delta have declined differently. The lowest temperature dropped to 13 ℃ this morning (April 12th).
Today, cities of Pearl River Delta, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Yunfu, Maoming, Yangjiang, Heyuan and Shanwei were hit by heavy rain and partial rainstorm, other regions of the province saw moderate rain or rainstorm.
Up to 2:30 p.m. April 12th, the province had issued 39 alerts of heavy rain. The Meteorological Observatory forecast that Guangdong will have strong precipitation, thunderstorm, gale and hail this weekend.
On April 13th, Shaoguan, Qingyuan and Heyuan will have heavy rain; cities of Pearl River Delta will see rainstorms; for other cities in the province, there will be moderate rain or rainstorm.
On April 14th, heavy rain will hit Pearl River Delta and western Guangdong; thunderstorm or heavy rain will hit other regions of the province.
On April 15th, moderate rain or heavy rain will hit western Guangdong, other regions of the province will be cloudy with chance of showers.
