The young children were instructed to write the Chinese character of "人", which means human being, and through the process, they were taught lessons on how to become an upstanding person. The kids also joined a special activity of circling the Wen Pagoda, a building worshipping the legendary god in charge of imperial examinations and literary affairs.

In addition to the children's education event, Pantang town in Liwan district also observed its traditional Qilongtou Day, which literally means a day to dig the head of a dragon boat out of river sludge that falls annually on the third day of the third month on the lunar calendar.
