On March 15, the delegation paid a visit to Pui Ching Primary School and the Cantonese Opera Art Museum, where they were treated to opera performances and offered a close look at Cantonese Opera costumes and decorations.

According to Mark Mcwhinnie, a member of the delegation, they toured many schools in Guangzhou, which left a deep impression on them. The students experienced the way of life in Guangzhou by living in homestays throughout their trip.

Mcwhinnie added that education in the two places is very different. Guangzhou has more sunshine but the children must spend more time studying. In Canada, students take a wider range of courses. Mcwhinnie spoke highly of the exchange program, which he believed would benefit both parties.
