Customs staff have intercepted a batch of endangered animal and plant products in the southern metropolis of Shenzhen, in Guangdong Province.
Among them are 28 accessories made of hawksbill turtles and 20 made of black coral, both protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
Also seized are 18 pieces of nautilus fossils and 201 agate stones, according to Shenzhen Customs.
The man who was transporting the products said he was asked by a friend to bring the "artwork" in.
The case is under further investigation.
