You can learn about the history behind the traditional local food at the event. In addition, you can learn the skills of making dim sum directly from the head chef of the White Swan Hotel, Tan Guanglin, so come on down and make your own Dim Sum!

Chef Tan Guanglin, the dim sum head chef at the White Swan Hotel, is one of a professional who excels at his craft. He has cooked for Comrade Deng Xiaoping, Queen Elizabeth II, Former US President George H. W. Bush and many other heads of state and politicians. Over the years of hand-crafting dim sum, Tan has been doing his best to carry forward the culinary craft and culture, in the process making himself a true master of Cantonese cuisine.

This upcoming event titled “A Bite of Guangzhou” is an activity hosted by the Guangzhou Foreign Experts Bureau to give foreign experts a way to get involved in the local life of Guangzhou. This time, GDToday is joining hands with both the Bureau and the White Swan Hotel to organise this event for our dear readers. Everyone is welcomed to join!
