The Nov 16-23 China International Circus Festival at Chimelong Hengqin International Circus City promises 25 heart-stopping performances by world-class acrobats from nearly 20 countries.
Russian blockbuster Anastasia Makeeva-Never Enough is an aesthetic and sensuous thriller. A lady in red dangles from a rising silk rope while pulling off multiple stunts, including a loose-support single-leg hook, rapidly rotating upward, and descent hung by the neck.
The performance garnered awards at international circus festivals in Monte Carlo, France, Italy and Russia.

Also an award-winning act, Chihhan Chao-Diablo-Like A Pro by a Taiwan performer is an all-new interpretation of the traditional diabolo (Chinese yo-yo). Unique techniques and movements are deployed to throw and catch the rapidly rotating diabolo, with modern street dance elements added.
Other programs on the roster include duo cabaret, jujitsu performances, magic shows, handstand skill acts, freestyle basketball, a Chinese pole piece, flying trapezes, and trampoline acrobatics.
The extended Chimelong Circuit Carnival, running through Nov 25, will turn Ocean Kingdom into a circus world with the center stage in front of the Whale Shark Aquarium holding painted pranksters and all-women clown troupes from around the globe.
Meanwhile, circus-themed parades, free trials of clown makeup, and culinary adventures are also on offer.
