SZ inks 8-billion-yuan deals at CIIE

The Shenzhen delegation inked deals totaling 8 billion yuan (US$1.15 billion) at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) that concluded Saturday in Shanghai.

The deals covered automobiles and spare parts, intelligent and high-end equipment, consumer electronics and household appliances, apparel and consumer goods, food and agricultural products, as well as service trading.

Suppliers from more than 50 countries, as well as more than 200 buyers from Shenzhen and 20 financial service institutes, attended a match-making meeting organized by the Shenzhen delegation during the expo last week.

The CIIE was held to support trade liberalization and economic globalization. It is an open international cooperation platform built by China to facilitate foreign trade.
