The annual air raid warning test and civil air defense exercises will be conducted in Guangzhou on the morning of September 15th, according to a press conference held by the Guangzhou Government on September 5th.
Testing Schedule
The citywide air raid warning test will run from 11:00-11:20 on September 15th, 2018. There are three types of warning signal: advance warning, air raid warning and all clear.
▲The advance warning siren will sound for 3 minutes from 11:00 to 11:03: sound for 36 seconds, pause for 24 seconds, and repeat 3 times;
▲The air raid warning siren will sound for 3 minutes from 11:10 to 11:13: sound for 6 seconds, pause for 6 seconds, and repeat 15 times;
▲The all-clear siren will sound for 3 minutes from 11:17 to 11:20.
During the test, the warning will be broadcasted simultaneously across all radio channels, TV channels, bus TV, metro TV and other platforms.
Furthermore, over 60 enterprises and institutions, 510 middle schools, 600,000 people, 46 vehicles and 1 drone will take part in civil air defense exercises.
