The 12th Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Cooperation & Development Forum and Economic & Trade Fair is to be held on September 5th and 6th in Guangzhou. The forum is being hosted by the governments of Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hong Kong and Macao, and organized by Guangdong and Jiangxi Provinces.
Among the attendees are senior officials from the Central Government, representative officials from the governments in the PPRD region, representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong and Macao SAR, Fortune 500 companies and other famous enterprises in the area, as well as experts and scholars from home and abroad. Representatives from the three world-class bay areas, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo, will be seated with their counterparts from their Chinese regional cooperation bodies, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area and Yangtze River Delta.
The forum will be addressed by Prof. Thomas Sargent, the Nobel Laureate, Pony Ma, Chairman of the Tencent, and other guests.
With the topic of “shared opportunity for opening, innovation and development”, the forum is structured as follows: an opening ceremony, forum conversation, sub-forums, online forum, business conference, on-the-spot investigation, and several high-level meetings.
Since the first forum was held in 2004, the following 11 forums have brought the relevant parties into closer knit, wider reaching and more fruitful partnerships. To gain competitiveness in the field of e-government, digital economy, smart society and big data, all parties in the PPRD region will launch a “Digital Pan-Pearl River Delta Area Campaign” at the opening of the forum on Sep. 5th.
According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the business conference at the forum includes an online platform (http://business.pprd.org.cn) and offline meetings scheduled on the second day in Zhuhai and Dongguan for attendees to get on-site commercial investigation.

第十二届泛珠大会9月5日在广州开幕
记者近日从第十二届泛珠三角区域合作与发展论坛暨经贸洽谈会筹委办获悉，第十二届泛珠三角区域合作与发展论坛暨经贸洽谈会（以下简称“大会”）将于9月5日-6日在广州市召开。大会由福建、江西、湖南、广东、广西、海南、四川、贵州、云南省（区）人民政府，香港特别行政区政府、澳门特别行政区政府共同主办，广东、江西两省人民政府共同承办。
大会将以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，深入贯彻党的十九大精神、《国务院关于深化泛珠三角区域合作的指导意见》，充分发挥粤港澳大湾区辐射引领带动作用，在新时代务实推进泛珠三角区域合作与发展。届时，国家部委领导、泛珠“9+2”各方政府代表团和经贸代表团代表，中央政府驻香港、澳门特别行政区联络办公室代表，泛珠区域及粤港澳大湾区的工商界知名企业、世界500强企业代表、国际知名学者，泛珠区域及粤港澳大湾区高等院校、研究机构、学术组织等专家学者，以及纽约、旧金山、东京等世界湾区代表，京津冀、长三角等区域合作组织代表将出席。诺贝尔经济学奖得主、美国纽约大学教授托马斯·萨金特，腾讯公司董事会主席兼首席执行官马化腾，中国（海南）改革发展研究院院长迟福林等国内外知名嘉宾将作主题演讲。
据了解，本届大会主题为“共享湾区机遇 开放创新发展”，将举行开幕式和论坛对话、分论坛、泛珠网络媒体论坛、经贸洽谈会和实地考察，以及多场高层会晤等活动。自2004年泛珠区域合作开展以来，泛珠合作各方围绕“合作发展，共创未来”的主题，成功举办11届泛珠大会，合作领域逐步扩展，合作机制日益健全，合作水平不断提高，泛珠合作各方综合竞争力不断提高。为更好地凝聚共识，共谋发展，贯彻落实“数字中国”发展战略，共同提升泛珠三角区域在“互联网+”、电子政务、智慧社会、数字经济、大数据等领域的发展应用能力和交流合作水平，发挥粤港澳大湾区示范引领作用，打造“数字中国”建设先行区，泛珠三角“9+2”省（区）将在9月5日的开幕式上联合发起“数字泛珠行动”。
另据省商务厅相关负责人介绍，本届泛珠大会经贸洽谈会分为线上、线下两部分举行。线上建设泛珠各省（区）网上展馆（http：//business.pprd.org.cn）和产品展示平台，开展各具特色的企业网上经贸洽谈及项目对接活动。线下已于8月15-16日成功举办“泛珠合作——粤港澳企业家江西行”，并将于9月6日举行“共享湾区机遇——泛珠企业家湾区行”商务考察活动，泛珠“9+2”各省（区）经贸代表团赴粤港澳大湾区的珠海、东莞两市开展商务考察及相关经贸交流活动。
