The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the world's longest cross-sea bridge, will cut travel time between Hong Kong and Zhuhai from three hours to about 30 minutes.

Preparation of the 55-kilometer-long bridge is currently underway for the official opening.

Considering the habits of residents in Hong Kong and Macao, the bridge will be open to non-cash electronic payment methods such as bank cards, Alipay and WeChat for customers in the manual toll lanes.

Drivers can also use ETC of the mainland and Auto toll of Hong Kong to pay expenses.

The bridge helps form a closed urban business circle in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The cities in the Bay Area, commonly known as the "9+2", comprise the Guangdong province cities of Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing, plus the two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao.
