Dongguan - Agarwood Culture Museum
Eaglewood, also known as “Chen Xiang” in Chinese, is a dark resinous heartwood that forms in Aquilaria trees (large evergreens native to southeast Asia). It is valued in many cultures for its distinctive fragrance and thus is used for incense and perfumes.
The museum offers visitors top grade agarwood from all over Asia such as Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. Besides exquisite agarwood, there are also vivid electronic presentations displaying the evolution of Chinese agarwood culture.
