123rd Canton Fair concludes with record buyers, deals

China's largest trade fair concluded its 123rd session on Saturday in Guangdong Province, with the amounts of foreign buyers and deals at record level in recent years.

Export turnover reached 30.08 billion U.S. dollars, highest in recent 4 years. A total of 203,346 buyers from 214 countries and regions attended the fair, highest in recent 5 years, according to fair spokesman Xu Bing.

The fair attracted 90,576 buyers, up 3.86 percent from last year, from countries and regions along the Belt and Road.

Export turnover with the Belt and Road countries and regions increased by 8.8 percent to 9.67 billion U.S. dollars, or 32.2 percent of the fair's total.

To ensure a fair and open legal environment, Xu said the fair had introduced both the national and the Guangdong IPR law enforcement departments to the station, and invited a team of arbitration and mediation experts for trade disputes.
