The State-owned exhibition firm under China Foreign Trade Center Group is an exhibition leader in China, while the Hong Kong and Shanghai-listed Red Star Macalline Group is one of the nation's leading household furnishing shopping mall operators.

The partnership is expected to be win-win for both companies and to be a boon for the development of China's furniture and building and decoration material industries.

"Apart from mutual benefits, the cooperation will leverage the synergy of both parties, hence making the Shanghai exhibitions more effective and efficient for exhibitors and visitors as well," noted Xu Bing, vice-president of China Foreign Trade Center (Group).

Xu's remarks are strongly supported by Che Jianxin, chairman and CEO of Red Star Macalline Group. "The partnership will turn the two Shanghai events into world-class galas with more premium household furnishing brands, more outstanding designers and professional buyers joining in," Che said, adding that Red Star Macalline, a leading household furnishing brand in China, has abundant resources in the field.

CIFF (Guangzhou) and CIFF (Shanghai) will together cover an exhibition area of 1.15 million square meters each year at the present stage, and the two versions of the international building and construction trade fair will occupy 480,000 square meters.
