The cross-border commercial services which give Hong Kong-based investors direct access to establish and manager Guangdong businesses via their local banks was recently started as Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce and Hong Kong-based Chong Hing Bank signed a cooperative agreement on March 8.
“The service offered in Hong Kong will enable Guangzhou to become a two-way platform to attract global investors,” said a related official, “we are dedicated to an international law-based business environment and pushing forward the cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.”
According to the agreement, Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce and Chong Hing Bank will cooperate in commercial registration, corporate annual report, financial services and etc. The Guangzhou part will also build a credit profile system for local enterprises and share the information with Chong Hing Bank.
Meanwhile, Chong Hing Bank will promote Guangzhou in terms of its economy, policy, geography and social status to Hong Kong-based enterprises using its branches and local resources.
With Hong Kong as the first stop, Guangzhou’s cross-border commercial services will be expanded to other countries and regions since 2018. The city will further digitalize its commercial services and cooperate with bank branches so that investors could start their businesses in Guangzhou without being out of their own countries.
How to access the cross-border business service:
1.Log onto the official website of Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce and download relevant application forms under the ‘service window’ page.
2.Submit the applications through the e-business platform or finish the procedure with the help of Chong Hing Bank’s staff members.
3.Once the application is approved, print out business license or collect the printed license at the service window of Chong Hing Bank.
