After several attacks of cold air, Guangdong has become a ‘freezing zone’. You may wonder when it will get warmer. However, 4 cold waves are heading to Guangdong around the Spring Festival.
The first cold wave will arrive on Feb. 10 (Saturday) and the other three would come on Feb. 12-20, Feb. 26- Mar. 1 and Mar. 8-11.

7-day weather forecast
On Feb. 10-11, the cold wave will bring light rain to most cities and counties around the province, with temperature down by 3-5℃.
On the morning of Feb. 11, the lowest temperature in North Guangdong would be 4-7℃ with frost in some areas; it would be 13-15℃ in South and West Guangdong, and 8-12℃ in other areas.
On Feb. 11-16, it would be cloudy in most areas, but with scattered light rain in mid-east region on Feb. 14.
Weather forecast amid Spring Festival (Feb. 15-21)
From Feb. 15 to Mar. 12, the province would see temperature rise and less rainfall. The weather changes obviously during this period. Damp weather and weather leading to lasting poor visibility are less likely to appear.
It would be warm and comfortable during the Spring Festival with an average temperature of 12-20 ℃ across the province.
On Feb. 15-18, it would be cloudy and warm with light fog;
On Feb. 19-20, temperature would drop by 3-5℃ affected by a cold wave, and it would be overcast, misty, rainy with poor visibility;
On Feb. 21, temperature would rise, and it would mainly be cloudy in the province.
