Guangzhou's transport card Yang Cheng Tong (or Lingnan Tong) and the national transport card, China T-Union can now be used on Shenzhen's busses, according to Shenzhen‘s Transportation Committee.
Shenzhen has updated the compatibility of its bus card readers to support the use of these cards. Furthermore, national transport cards bearing the “China T-Union” logo are compatible with ticket gates and readers across the country that have the same logo.
Dongguan's bus network will also be compatible with Yang Cheng Tong (or Lingnan Tong) and China T-Union cards as well before Spring Festival. By Spring Festival, these cards will be able to be used across nearly all public transport networks in Guangdong, (notable exceptions currently being the Metro networks in Shenzhen and Dongguan).
Furthermore, a new version of the Shenzhen Tong with a “China T-Union” logo is expected to be issued this year, according to Shenzhen Transportation Committee, rendering it compatible nationwide.
Currently Shenzhen's transport card (the Shenzhen Tong) can't be used on Guangzhou's busses or metros.
