The 1st session of 12th Guangdong Provincial Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), will be held in Guangzhou from Jan. 23 to 27. It will be the first time to invite eight youths from Hong Kong and Macao to attend the meeting.
According to Ba Yu, the deputy secretary general of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPPCC, they hear the advices from some patriotic youth associations in Hong Kong and Macao, to invite outstanding representatives of those associations for the 1st session of 12th Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPPCC.
The eight youths are recommended by local influential associations including Hong Kong Federation of Guangdong Association Youth Committee, Hong Kong Guangdong Youth Association, Hong Kong New Youth Energy Think Tank, Macao Chamber of Commerce Youth Association.
On the meeting, the leadership and the members of standing committee of 12th Guangdong CPPCC will be selected by voting, said Ba.
Besides, 35 overseas Chinese representatives, 30 presidents of the associations of Taiwan investment enterprises in Guangdong, representatives from consulate generals in Guangzhou will also be invited to attend the meeting.
