Chefs slice and saute servings at Tianhe food festival

The cloche was lifted on the eighth session of the Tianhe International Food Festival on Dec 13, a branch event of last month's 2017 Guangzhou International Food Festival.

Plating up until Dec 22, the festival's entree consisted of an opening ceremony held at Zhongsen Gourmet 100, the largest food center in Asia, and featured exquisite cooking performances and a gourmet culture exhibition.

Gathered on the banqueting table will be thousands of different types of delicacies derived from the eight famous Chinese cuisines, as well as classics from Western, Japanese and Southeast Asian cuisines.

A special promotional event held in Guangdong city of Qingyuan will also be served up during the food festival where visitors will be provided with a chance to taste the distinctive food of the city with folk art performances as a side.
