GPHL to sponsor the first-ever Fortune Brainstorm TECH International

On Nov. 16 at the Shennong Caotang museum, GPHL signed a cooperation agreement with Time Inc. to become a sponsor and partner of the first-ever Fortune Brainstorm TECH International from Dec 5 to 6.

This is GPHL’s second cooperation with the Time Inc. after early this year they were made a strategic partner of the 2017 Fortune Global Forum which will be held from Dec. 6 to 8 in Guangzhou.

At the signing ceremony, John Needham, Executive Director of the Fortune Global Forum, introduced the background and purpose of the Brainstorm TECH International.

This powerful new conference will bring world leaders in the innovation economy together in the same space, and will tap into the strength of two ongoing Fortune powerhouse conferences: the Brainstorm TECH conference and the Fortune Global Forum.

For the past sixteen summers, the Brainstorm TECH conference has brought together the smartest, most innovative people in tech, media, entertainment, and finance in Aspen, Colorado. Past Brainstorm TECH attendees include: James Murdoch of 21st Century Fox, Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com, Brian Chesky of Airbnb, etc.

It is reported that this year’s attendees will include Nathan Blecharczyk of Airbnb, Davis Wang of Mobike, Tom Rosamilia of IBM, Jonathan Woetzel of McKinsey, Neil Shen of Sequoia Capital, Keith Krach of DocuSign, and David Hanson of Hanson Robotics along with "Sophia", the world's first humanoid robot with citizenship.

The international version of the Fortune Brainstorm TECH will explore the innovation revolution unfolding in China, the emerging new reality of home grown innovation and mass implementation in fields that include artificial intelligence, social media, biotech, fintech, VR, automotive, the sharing economy, and mobile platforms, and will introduce some of China’s most promising start-ups.

According to Fortune.com, Guangzhou is a spectacular setting for Brainstorm TECH International: a place of international commerce for many centuries, it is China’s southern gateway to the world and an emerging center of tech innovation.

At the signing ceremony, Li Chuyuan, Chairman of GPHL, said that Guangzhou is sparing no pains to bring technology, talent and resources to the city, in order to promote strategic emerging industries, including Information Technology/Information Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Biopharmaceuticals (IAB).

“GPHL, as the largest Guangzhou-based pharmaceutical enterprise, will conduct a comprehensive and in-depth dialogue with the world’s leading innovative enterprises in science and technology via the Fortune Brainstorm TECH International,” said Li Chuyuan, “And this is going to be an important opportunity for GPHL to broaden its horizons and seek cooperation in the field of science and technology.”

As a sponsor of the 2017 Fortune Global Forum, GPHL will host a sub-forum with the theme of “How to make healthy and better life for mankind” and a special roundtable discussion entitled “The Future of Health Care”.
