"The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Forum” on International Communication and Chinese (Guangdong) Companies Going Global will be held at Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center on Nov 28 to 30.
Nearly 1000 representatives, including officials, scholars, famous entrepreneurs along the Maritime Silk Road, and media executives, will be present to discuss the communication and exchanges among countries along the Maritime Silk Road.
According to Deng Hong, Executive Deputy Director General of Guangdong Information Office, the event will set up a main forum, "The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Forum" on International Communication and Chinese (Guangdong) Companies Going Global. During the forum, an authoritative report will be released assessing implementation of the Going-Out strategy by Guangdong enterprises in the context of the Belt & Road Initiative. An achievement exhibition will be held to present the scientific and interactive enterprises in Guangdong. In addition to the forums and exhibition, there will be visiting tours, and thematic show.
With the theme "Cooperation, Communications & Value", this forum focuses on international cooperation in policy, science & technology, trade, finance, infrastructure, people's livelihood and other areas, and will discuss cooperation and development ways. This forum aims at promoting the cooperation between Guangdong and countries or regions along the Maritime Silk Road on the integration of economic, trade, culture and science and technology. The international media platform of this forum will also promote the economic and social development achievement, and economic environment of Guangdong.
According to Long Guangyan, a member of the standing committee of CPC Zhuhai Committee and head of Zhuhai Publicity Department, the achievement exhibition will show Guangdong's achievement in science and technology, culture, medicine, food, and scientific and technological equipment manufacturing. 21 exhibitors have announced to attend the exhibition, including Guangzhou Automobile Group, Pearl River Piano, Guangzhou Ehang, Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group and Gree Electric Appliances. These exhibitors have played a very active role in promoting the Maritime Silk Road cooperation.
In addition, the famous sculpture works, Chubby Women by Xu Hongfei, Dean of Guangzhou Sculpture Academy, will be presented during the forum period.
