GZ, LA and Auckland join hand in film & animation industry

Guangzhou, Los Angeles and Auckland announced to hand in film and animation industry on November 10 during the Tripartite Economic Summit, and set up a joint office for the program in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (SSGKC).

The launching ceremony was attended by local enterprises and over 20 representatives in relative fields from Auckland and Los Angeles.

Xu Hui, Deputy Director of SSGKC, said he saw the three cities complement each other especially in the culture industry. “Hollywood is the world’s creative center while Auckland is famous for its post-production. And in Guangzhou, we have a huge market and some fast-developed technology teams.”

Located in the northeastern part of Guangzhou, SSGKC is an urban planning program jointly developed Guangdong and Singapore. The urban program targets high-end talents and industries, aiming to build the knowledge-based economy.
