The 122nd China Import and Export Fair, or the 122nd Canton Fair, will be hosted on Oct 15 in Guangzhou, with more than 25,000 exhibitors from both home and abroad showcasing their latest technologies and products.
Covering an exhibition area of nearly 1,200,000 square meters, the fair offers more than 60,000 booths for exhibitions.

According to Gao Feng, spokesperson for Ministry of Commerce, the 122nd Canton Fair will be dedicated to the construction of a "Smart Canton Fair" and "Green Canton Fair" by fulfilling the needs of both exhibitors and buyers, combining online and on-site fairs and improving the information technology and related services.
The fair will be held in three phases, from Oct 15 to 19 the exhibitions covering areas including electronic and household electrical appliances, lighting equipment and building materials will be staged; from Oct 23 to 27 the consumer goods and home decoration exhibitions will be staged; and from Oct 31 to Nov 4 the exhibition covering areas such as medical devices and health products, food, textiles and garments will be staged.
A total of eight thematic forums will be held during the fair, which will center on foreign trade upgrading, intellectual properties protection and brand building.
Moreover, the 122nd Canton Fair will continue to work towards cutting down the expenses for enterprises by means of service fee deduction and by providing free booths for enterprises from poverty-stricken counties.
